Marmox Insulation / Tile backer board is very versatile. It can be used to provide a solid base for a tiled floor, and due to it's great insulation properties is ideal for use with electrical underfloor heating, thus helping to reduce the heat up time and running costs of the heating system.

It can also be used as a substitute for plaster board when building a bathroom / wet room. Marmox's waterproof properties allow you to easily construct a waterproof room ready for tiling

• Marmox boards are fully waterproof and dimensionally stable (unlike plywood).
• Lightweight - a 1250x600x50mm Marmox board weighs less than 3.3Kg.
• Excellent sound insulation: impact sound is reduced by up to 25 decibels for Marmox boards.
• Marmox boards are excellent for wet rooms.
• Marmox is designed to take the heaviest of tiles, unlike plasterboard and plaster.
• Excellent heat insulation, the 50mm boards have a U value of 0.54 (W/m K), making Marmox fantastic to use with Electrical Underfloor Heating
