The Wetrooms Online Linear WetBase wet room floor / shower base is an easy to install linear level access ‘walk in shower’ floor tray. This kit comes complete with a Dallmer fast flow drain, stainless steel grill and a choice of 5kg liquid based (no mixing required) tanking kiteither PCI Lastogum or Weber Sys Protect for waterproofing the wet room, and a quality Merlyn Ionic , 8mm thick by 2000mm high shower screen in a choice of lengths, finished with an easy clean coating as standard.

Our linear tray kit is the UKs first true linear drain system with the drain trough bonded in to the tray in the factory which eliminates installer error and maintains 100% waterproofing capability when installed correctly. It can be used in wooden floors and concrete floors. We recommend a tile thickness of NOT less than 6mm. It can be tiled with large format tiles or mosaics, the latter being easier to follow the contours of the tray.

Fully Reversible & Tileable Drain Cover:
The upside of the drain cover is a brushed stainless-steel finish, if you prefer to tile the drain cover to match the surrounding floor, simply turn it over. The drain cover is ideal for tiling to match the surrounding floor, with a 12mm depth.

We offer you a choice of 300mm, 400mm 500mm 600mm 700mm, 800mm, 900mm, 1000mm, 1100mm, 1200mm, 1400mm or 1600mm length shower screens.

The position of the drain exit is determined by the installer on site as the drain is cut into the trough by the user and thus can avoid joists or support beams.
The base of the tray is totally flat and is installed onto the wooden joists in the normal manner with support between the joists. It has fully adjustable drain and grid to accommodate various tile heights

It can be installed by any competent DIY person and as the drain trough is already installed into the tray cuts down on install time.

If you have a concrete floor or if there is no access under the flooring to locate the shower drain, then the tray can still be used by using a separate raised substrate. For full fitting instructions please see: Fitting the WetBase Wet

This tray is 30mm thick, this means that in most circumstances it will sit 10mm above the floor boards when fitted. Therefore, 10mm tile backer board should be used to bring the remainder of the floor up to level prior to tanking and tiling.

Which tanking kit should I choose?

We offer a choice of either PCI Lastogum (packaged for Wetrooms Online) or Weber Sys Protect. Both are highly respected, market leading tanking kits, manufactured by leading brands (BASF & Weber respectively).
Both tanking kits are paint on in application and both have a similar coverage of approx. 5 – 7 sqm with the recommended two coats.

We simply offer the choice as some professional fitters have a personal preference for one or the other.
If it helps to make your choice simpler, the fitters in our sister company use the PCI Lastogum tanking kit.

Please Note: Shower Screen Delivery

Whilst the shower screen is delivered free of charge, it is excluded from the next working day delivery, and will follow the WetBase, drain and tanking kit approximately 2 - 3 working days later.
This is because we have to use specialist carriers due to the weight and fragile nature of the glass shower screen.

Please ensure that you have both access to your property and room of installation for the shower screen prior to ordering.

Please refer to our terms and conditions for full details of carriage etc.

The followings are the instructions for installing the Wetrooms Online WetBase (standard) on a wodden floor. These instructions and others for concrete floors and the Linear WetBase can be printed and / or downloaded in PDF format here:

Standard WetBase Installation (Wooden Floor)

Standard WetBase Installation (Concrete Floor)

Linear WetBase Installation (Wooden Floor)

Wetrooms online WETBASE low profile shower trays are designed to create a flat walk in shower area without raised steps or platforms. This tray is designed to be inset into or on top of WOODEN floors and then tiled over.
The Coated shower tray is pre machined with the correct falls in all directions to the drain which is partly attached to the tray.
It requires additional support which is achieved by fitting plywood panels between the joists.

Conventional floor boards are approx 20mm thick so laying the tray on top of the joists would bring the top of the tray level with the floor boards.
WE DO NOT recommend tiling straight on to floor boards. We recommend that the entire wooden floor is covered in a 10mm thermal tile backer board prior to tiling and therefore you may need to insert a 10mm packer under the wetbase
