The Impey AquaDec® EasyFit solves one of the most common problems on timber-joisted floors: the drainage point being obstructed by a joist. A unique, patent-protected feature allows the installer to rotate the drain aperture to any position needed to avoid a joist or other under-floor obstruction — the aperture rotates, not the drain body itself.
AquaDec EasyFit has a computer-designed cellular structure, compression-moulded from high glass-content SMC to provide one of the strongest, most rigid wet room floor formers on the market. It fits direct to timber joists at 400mm centres with no additional support required, and will support over 300kg (47 stone) when fixed directly to standard floor joists — joists that exceed 400mm centres will require under-boarding. Despite its strength, the tray is only 22mm thick at the outer rim, engineered to match the depth of standard floorboards.
Every AquaDec EasyFit is supplied complete with a tiled floor gully as standard — a horizontal outlet water trap with a 50mm water seal, flexible 50mm outlet, and 50–40mm solvent weld reducer, finished with a 4mm thick stainless steel grate. Height-adjustable rings suit tile depths between 6mm and 26mm, and a tanking ring secures the waterproofing membrane at the drainage point to create a watertight seal.
If you need to trim the tray to fit an awkward space, it can be cut with a standard hand saw and drilled for additional screw fixing holes. AquaDec EasyFit is designed for a tiled floor finish only — for vinyl or Altro flooring, see the Impey Level Dec range instead.
