The WetBase® ONE Infinity by wedi, available exclusively from Wetrooms Online, redefines what a premium wet room former can deliver. Recessed into the floor and tiled over, the entire shower floor falls in a single, consistent direction toward the linear drain. Supplied complete in a single box, ready for immediate installation on both timber and concrete sub-floors.

The single-fall design is the key technical advantage for large-format tile installations. Unlike four-way fall trays that require diagonal “envelope cuts” to follow changes in fall direction, the WetBase ONE allows large-format tiles to be laid in straight lines across the full shower area without any diagonal cutting. The result is a cleaner installation with less material waste and a more refined finished appearance.

The wedi Fundo Wave DN40 drain is supplied complete with every kit. Before the tray is bedded down, the siphon assembly rotates a full 360° within the drain body, directing the waste outlet to any angle — toward a wall, through a joist bay, or at any angle in between. On timber-joisted floors this eliminates the need to alter joist positions. Flow rate: 31 litres per minute. Once the tray is set, the drain orientation is fixed.

Two trays can be laid side by side to create a larger showering area using wedi 610 adhesive sealant (available separately). The tray is also fully trimmable on all sides using the cutting disc supplied, and can be cut to sit flush to a wall or accommodate boxing-in and nib walls.

Tile thickness: We recommend a tile thickness of 8mm–10mm. The single-fall design means large-format tiles can be laid without diagonal cuts, preserving the visual integrity of the tile pattern. The tray can be tiled with large-format tiles or mosaics.

Product & Specification
What is the WetBase® ONE Infinity?
WetBase ONE Infinity is a premium single-fall, one-piece wet room former tray, manufactured by wedi to an exclusive Wetrooms Online design. It is recessed into the floor and tiled over to create a fully level, threshold-free wet room floor. The entire floor surface falls in a single, uniform direction toward the linear drain — there are no multi-directional falls, no internal joins, and no central point drain. Available exclusively from Wetrooms Online.
What does “single-fall” mean and why does it matter?
A single-fall tray directs the entire floor surface toward the drain in one consistent direction. Unlike four-way fall trays, which slope from all four corners toward a central point, the WetBase ONE has a single, uniform gradient across the full width and length of the tray. This delivers a perfectly flat, uninterrupted tiling plane — critical for large-format tile installations where any change in fall direction would show in the tile joints. It also removes the need for diagonal “envelope cuts” that four-way fall trays require.
What sizes are available?
WetBase ONE Infinity is available in two sizes: 1000mm wide × 1200mm long, and 1200mm wide × 1800mm long. Both sizes can be trimmed on site. Visit wetrooms-online.com/collections/wetbase-one-by-wedi or call 0800 280 8008 for sizing and specification advice.
What are the tray dimensions and profile thickness?
The 1000 × 1200mm tray has a profile that tapers from 33mm at the drain end to 15mm at the high end, with a 2% fall across the full length. The 1200 × 1800mm tray tapers from 40mm at the drain end to 15mm at the high end, also with a 2% fall. The drain is positioned on the short end of each tray.
Where is the drain positioned on the tray?
The wedi Fundo Wave drain is positioned on the short end of the tray on both available sizes. The drain body is integrated into the tray at manufacture — it cannot be repositioned to a different edge. However, the 360° rotatable siphon allows the waste outlet connection to be directed to any angle during installation, giving full flexibility over pipe routing.
Is WetBase® ONE Infinity certified?
Yes. The system carries BBA certification (British Board of Agrément, certificate 14/5126) confirming compliance with UK Building Regulations. It also holds EPD certification for independently verified environmental impact data. Both certificates are available to download from the Downloads tab above.
What guarantee does the tray carry?
WetBase ONE Infinity is covered by a 20-year manufacturer’s guarantee when installed in accordance with the supplied installation instructions.
Who manufactures WetBase® ONE Infinity?
The tray is manufactured by wedi GmbH in Germany to an exclusive design developed by Wetrooms Online. It is only available from Wetrooms Online and cannot be purchased through any other UK retailer or distributor.
Drain System
What drain system is supplied with the tray?
Every WetBase ONE Infinity is supplied with the wedi Fundo Wave DN40 drain kit. This includes the drain body, 360° rotatable siphon, drain adaptor, drain channel with integrated hair-catcher cover, and cap tool. The drain body is integrated into the tray former at manufacture. The channel grating is 35mm wide, cut to length on site, and available in eight standard colour finishes.
What is the drain flow rate?
The wedi Fundo Wave drain is rated at 31 litres per minute — sufficient for even high-pressure rain showers and drench heads. The drain body sits just 60mm deep beneath the tray.
How does the 360° rotatable drain work?
During installation, before the tray is bonded down, the wedi Fundo Wave siphon assembly can be rotated a full 360° within the drain body. This allows the 40mm waste outlet to be directed precisely toward the waste pipe location — toward a wall, through a timber joist bay, or at any angle in between. Once the tray is bedded and set, the drain orientation is fixed.
Can the drain channel grating be cut to length?
Yes. The stainless steel drain channel grating is supplied full length and cut to the required size on site using the 115mm cutting disc included in the kit. Always trim equal amounts from both ends to maintain symmetry.
What drain channel finishes are available?
Eight standard finishes are available: Stainless Steel, Matt Black, Rose Gold, Satin Gold, Satin Copper, Satin Bronze, Satin Brass, and Satin Nickel. Custom colour-match finishes are available on request for brassware brands including Flova, Hansgrohe, Perrin and Rowe, Vado, Crosswater, Axor, and Keuco. Call 0800 280 8008 to discuss a custom finish.
Suitability & Tile Compatibility
What floor finishes is the tray compatible with?
WetBase ONE Infinity is compatible with ceramic and porcelain tiles (including large-format slabs) and natural stone. It is not suitable for vinyl or direct-glue flexible floor coverings.
What tile sizes and thicknesses can be used?
The tray is compatible with tiles from mosaic size up to large-format slabs, including ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone. Tile thickness between 8mm and 10mm is supported. The single-fall design is particularly well-suited to large-format tile installations as there are no directional fall changes to interrupt the tile pattern.
Do large-format tiles require diagonal cuts with this tray?
No. This is one of the key advantages of the single-fall design. Standard four-way fall trays require diagonal “envelope cuts” on large tiles. Because WetBase ONE has a single, uniform fall in one direction, large tiles can be laid without any diagonal cuts.
Can WetBase® ONE Infinity be used with underfloor heating?
Yes. The tray is compatible with underfloor heating systems installed in accordance with the underfloor heating manufacturer’s instructions.
Is the tray suitable for wheelchair users?
WetBase ONE Infinity is not designed for wheelchair access. The tray creates a level-access showering area, but the tray edges and transition detail are not configured for powered wheelchair ingress. For wheelchair-accessible wet room solutions, call 0800 280 8008 for specialist advice.
Installation
Can the tray be cut to size on site?
Yes. The tray can be trimmed on both the width and the length using the 115mm metal cutting disc supplied in the kit. Always trim equal amounts from each side to maintain drain channel symmetry. If a larger reduction is required on one side — for example, to clear a boxing-in or nib wall — this is possible provided the drain channel remains centred on the finished tray.
What sub-floor types is the tray compatible with?
WetBase ONE Infinity is compatible with both concrete and timber-joisted sub-floors. It is not suitable for installation directly to joists without under-boarding.
Is under-boarding required?
Yes. On timber-joisted floors, remove the floorboards from the tray area and install 18mm marine-grade plywood flush with the top of the joists, leaving a keyhole cutout at the drain location. Build a small plywood platform beneath the drain body to support it. The surrounding floor area is brought to the same level using 6mm, 10mm, or 12.5mm tile backer board to create a flush, walk-in finish.
Is the tray itself waterproof?
Yes. The tray former is fully waterproof as supplied. However, the perimeter joints, all surrounding floor and wall surfaces, and the junctions between tray and surrounding boards must be sealed using flexible tanking tape and tanking solution before tiling. A Mapei tanking kit is supplied with every WetBase ONE kit for this purpose.
What is supplied in the standard kit?
The standard kit includes: the one-piece single-fall former tray, wedi Fundo Wave DN40 drain kit (drain body, siphon, adaptor, cap tool), stainless steel drain channel with integrated hair-catcher cover, 115mm metal cutting disc, Mapei 4m tanking kit, and installation instructions. Wedi 610 adhesive sealant is required separately if joining two trays side by side.
How long does installation take to set before tiling?
Once the tray former is bonded down and weighted at all corners and the centre, it must be left for a minimum of 12 hours to fully set before tanking and tiling can proceed.
Can I join two trays together to create a larger shower area?
Yes. Two WetBase ONE Infinity trays can be laid side by side to create a larger showering area. This requires wedi 610 adhesive sealant, available separately from Wetrooms Online.
