AKW FormSafe Wet Room Tanking Membrane 5m²

FormSafe is a unique bituminous, pre-formed flexible self-adhesive waterproof membrane. Consisting of a 1mm thick rubberised waterproof layer, incorporating a fabric mesh on one side.

FormSafe is probably one of the best tanking membranes available for use in wetroom applications as it provides a thick industrial strength impermeable barrier to any water that may escape beneath the tiles. The membrane is self-adhesive and comes on a roll. Once installed tiles can be applied immediately - there is no curing time.

Although particularly suited to floor applications FormSafe can also be applied to walls as an additional precaution. However, there is a maximum weight limit for wall mounted tiles when using FormSafe and this should not exceed 20kg/m2.

FormSafe can be used with under floor heating. Note: Maximum effective temperature for FormSafe is 32oC and should not be exceeded. Electrical heating max 150w.
